How Pulled Works
Open the app, walk into any cafe or tea house, order your usual cortado, pour over, matcha, or boba, and tap Pull. The app uses GPS to confirm you are at a real shop and a quick photo to confirm a real drink. The whole check-in takes about ten seconds. Each Pull counts toward whatever challenge you are enrolled in. Challenges have fixed dollar rewards. Hit the target, get paid. There is no points system, no virtual currency, no gamified balance you can never cash out. The check-in works at independent specialty cafes, third wave roasteries, kissaten, espresso bars, and chains like Starbucks or Blue Bottle. If a person made the drink, it counts.
Where You Can Earn Cash
Pulled works at any cafe, coffee shop, tea house, boba spot, or roastery anywhere on the map. Specialty shops pulling single origin espresso, neighborhood cafes serving drip and pour over, matcha bars, third wave roasters, kissaten in Tokyo, churreras in Madrid, kopi shops in Singapore, chain locations from Starbucks to Costa to Tim Hortons. The app does not gate by coffee snobbery. A flat white at a James Hoffmann favorite counts the same as an iced oat latte at a corner Dunkin. The shop database covers more than 40,000 cities worldwide and grows whenever a member checks in somewhere new. New shops are auto-added the first time a verified member pulls there.
Real PayPal Payouts, Not Points
The reward at the end of a Pulled challenge is real money sent to your PayPal account. Not store credit. Not points that expire. Not a stamp card good for one free drink at the same cafe forever. Real US dollars, paid out as soon as the challenge clears its short verification window. Members see deposits hit PayPal in days, not weeks. The bigger the challenge tier you commit to, the bigger the payout. Ritual members start with First 15 at ten dollars. Origin members can stack toward a five-figure annual ceiling. The math is published openly on the calculator page so you can model your own earnings before you ever subscribe.
Founding Member Pricing (Lifetime Locked)
Founding Devoted and Founding Origin tiers exist for one reason: to reward the people who showed up before the app was on every coffee bag in every roastery. Founding pricing is a permanent rate that never goes up, even when the standard tiers eventually re-price. The Devoted tier locks at $28.83 per month equivalent on the annual plan. Origin locks at $67.99 per month equivalent. Both tiers also unlock the founding badge on your in-app profile, the early-access Pull Map updates, and gold leaderboard placement. Founding seats are capped per region and counted live on the pricing page. Once they fill, the door closes for that region.
Coffee Shops in 40,000 Cities Worldwide
The Pulled shop database covers cafes, roasteries, tea houses, and specialty bars in more than 40,000 cities across six continents. Coverage is densest in the established specialty corridors (Melbourne, London, Tokyo, Copenhagen, San Francisco, Portland, Brooklyn) but extends through emerging scenes in Bangkok, Mexico City, Lisbon, Tbilisi, Saigon, Cape Town, and thousands of smaller cities most apps do not bother indexing. City pages show real check-in counts, top shops by member activity, and the local specialty-to-chain ratio. Search any city by name on the map or browse the city directory to see what is open today and where members are pulling.

How does Pulled Coffee work?
Pulled is a mobile app for iOS and Android. You enroll in a challenge, then check in at any cafe, tea house, or coffee shop using the in-app camera. GPS and a drink photo verify the visit. When you complete the challenge target, the cash reward is sent to your PayPal account. There is no points system, no in-app currency, no expiring credit. Real money paid out for real check-ins.
What kinds of coffee shops can I check in at?
Any cafe, specialty roastery, third wave coffee shop, tea house, matcha bar, boba shop, kissaten, or chain location. Pulled does not gate by shop type. A flat white at a Melbourne specialty bar, an espresso at a Roman bar, a matcha at a Kyoto tea house, or a venti iced latte at a suburban Starbucks all count as one Pull. If a person made the drink behind a counter, it qualifies.
How do I get paid for check-ins?
Connect your PayPal email in the app once. After you complete a challenge, the payout runs through Pulled's verification window (typically a few days for fraud screening) and lands in your PayPal account. There are no minimum payout thresholds and no platform fees taken on the user side. The amount Pulled lists for each challenge is the amount you receive.
How much can I realistically earn?
It depends on tier and activity level. Ritual members ($4.99/mo) start with First 15 at $10 and have access to small monthly challenges. Explorer ($14.99/mo) and Devoted ($54.99/mo) unlock larger payouts and stacked challenges. Origin ($129.99/mo) members who pull near-daily can hit the upper five figures annually. Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets 14 days of full Pulled access on any tier with no credit card required to start. You can complete check-ins, enroll in challenges, and explore the full feed during the trial. Subscription only kicks in if you continue past day 14. Cancel anytime from inside the app or via your App Store / Play Store subscription manager.
Is Pulled available outside the US?
Yes. The shop database covers more than 40,000 cities worldwide. Pulled members pull in the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Nordics, Southeast Asia, and across Africa and South America. Payouts are processed via PayPal in supported PayPal markets. App language is English; localized versions are queued for future builds.
Can I check in at chains like Starbucks?
Yes. Starbucks, Costa, Pret, Tim Hortons, Dunkin, Peet's, Caffe Nero, Blue Bottle, Philz, Stumptown locations all count toward challenges. Some challenges target specialty-only shops and exclude chains by design (the in-app challenge description always says which). For most challenges, a chain check-in counts the same as a specialty shop check-in.
Why do I need a subscription?
Pulled pays out real cash on every completed challenge. The subscription funds the payout pool, the shop verification engine, the GPS and photo fraud screening, the database that indexes 40,000 cities, and the engineering team that ships features. Members on higher tiers earn payouts that exceed their monthly subscription many times over. Pulled is not ad-supported and does not sell user data; the subscription is the entire revenue model.
